This resource will look at discrimination in society and students to explore their own attitudes. Different behaviours will be discussed that constitute bullying & harassment, as well as the legal implications of discrimination in the workplace.
This learning resource has five parts that can be completed individually or grouped together depending on the target group or time allocated for the lesson.
Resources required:
Activity One – Video and group Discussion – butcher’s paper or a Smart board to record discussion optional.
Activity Two ‐ Group discussion and self‐reflection – Appendices 5&6 are optional they are for use if you need assistance to relay concept and prompt for discussion. Print of appendix 1 and cut into flash cards these can be laminated for repeat use, also print off worksheet for each student appendix 2.
Activity Three ‐ Group discussion and brain storm, you will need to print off appendix 3.1 a worksheet that can be done individually, in small groups or as a discussion point, 3.2 – flash cards that can be used a prompts during discussion.
Activity Four – Group discussion and brainstorm – butchers paper or Smart board to record discussion points for reflection.
Activity Five ‐ Understanding of knowledge check ‐ Pairs or individual exercise, you will need to print off appendix 4 for each student.
